No it is time for a little more detail. From this part you will learn an easy way to get some details from your buildings
W żadnym wypadku nie jest to jedyny właściwy sposób. Przy kolejnym projekcie na pewno zmienię część z tych metod, aby moje budynki trochę się od siebie różniły. Ale częściowo zrobię je tak jak poniżej.
In no way this is the only way to do it. For the next building I will mix it up a little for sure to maintain some variety. But some steps I will make just like those below.
Skulls were painted with some beige base and than washed with light brown and highlighted in white. This is a standard way to treat any bones. I have been applying it to all of my fast paintjobs. And with so many skulls here it had to be fast.
Soft Tone wash
Some of the details I intended to stand out a little. For this I have used light white laver covered with some dark wash.
Dark Tone wash
Some of the stones surely were made of some other material. Something that allowed some carving. I have chosen it to be the red sandstone. So red was used and than drybrushed with the same color as the rest of the stones.
OK, but some of the parts were constructed with brick. My idea to make brick was glaze it. GW gives us different colors to use. Here the glazes were useful. I could use the orange one better, but repeted use of red and yellow allowed for similar effect. I will be using more and more glazes in the future. All of them in fact, those GW, other manufacturers' and the ones I will make (with extended use of water in some normal paint).
Rust receipt is an old one. Used with some success on those rats. Starting with brown, some orange spots covered with silver. At the end some wash can be used to mute the colors a little.
Macharius Solar Orange
I wanted to paint roof in the Imperial style - so in blue. This building has only a handful of those, so I decided to use a little more steps here. Dark blue as a base, even further darkened with wash. Than some lighter blue was used to lighten the edges followed by even lighter highlights.
Enchanted Blue + White
You can stop here because your building has some basic colors done as well as some nice details. But if you want something more - wait till the final part of this small tutorial.
Pozdrawiam | Best regards,
